The Iron Man of India: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
“Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonized and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power.”
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the man with the spirit of iron had played a crucial role in freedom fight for India. He had played a role of great social & political leader in India and is still remembered as the man who united India. With his intelligence and leadership quality he integrated over 500 princely states into the Indian Union. He was the prominent leader in organizing the Quit India Movement in 1942 and supported Gandhi’s Non-Cooperation Movement. After India's independence, he became the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of India.
As he said “It is the prime responsibility of every citizen to feel that his country is free and to defend its freedom is his duty”, we at “Pursharth” are its real followers. He is an inspiration to us, who guides us to walk on the path of religion by fulfilling our duties and responsibilities. His efforts and actions taken for the development of India taught us the lesson of unity. Today on his birthday we pledge to scatter these learning among the youths of India. He was a man of courage and determination and in the true sense the “Iron Man of India.”
